Five Sparkling Wines to celebrate Holidays

We tried five interesting sparkling wines to drink during the upcoming Holidays. In a country where this kind of wine is still considered as a celebration beverage, here are the proposals of Ritmodivino.it

Everyone who puts a sparkling wine in a weekday rather than a holiday, please stand up.

If you are not a professional wine taster or a sommelier, or if you don’t have a real passion for the world of wines, you probably will be a few standing.

It’s been a long time since Italian Winemakers started a campaign to help people changing their drinking habits. In the so-called Bel Paese, in fact, the consumption of sparkling wines is still low. And in a world where this rate is consistently growing, Italy still lives with a small increase of this percentage.

Speaking frankly, in Italy it’s difficult to see someone opening a bottle of Spumante while having his daily lunch. Plus, there are too many people eating their meals at work. And no-one of them would drink a sparkling wine before getting back to work.

Probably we should have chosen a different time to speak about sparkling wines, here at Ritmodivino.it. A different period and not around the upcoming Christmas Holidays.

However, we should admit that we are a young review. It’s not been a long time since we started to drink wines together, pairing them with everything we like.

So, we’ll beg your pardon if we have been linked to the Italian habitude, which sees Italians to drink bubbles only during the Holidays.

From our part, we promise that the bottles we chose will be good for daily lunch, too. Here they are.
