THE SUPERVISORY ACTIVITIES ON THE TERRITORY OF THE CONSORTIUM OF PROTECTION HAVE STARTED

From the “Vinitaly” to “Ciak Irpinia”: as soon as the exhilarating expedition to Verona has been archived, the Consorzio di Tutela dei Vini d’Irpinia, led by Stefano Di Marzo, is already at work for the upcoming second edition of the event scheduled for 18 May 19 at the Castle della Lionessa of Montemiletto.

ciak“Ciak Irpinia, the harvest goes on stage” is the title chosen for the kermesse presented, as for the first edition, at the Vinitaly where the Irpinia productions have once again conquered the buyers and foreign markets, strong of a consolidated international prestige.

In the wake of Vinitaly, the Irpinia of wines is now ready to return on stage with the second, eagerly awaited edition of an annual event imagined as a moment of encounter and comparison on the harvest just ended between specialized press, producers, technicians and experts.

An event that will feature the main international operators in the sector, but which does not exclude fans of the wine world. After the session of seminar tasting, curated by a jury of experts chosen by the Consortium for the national and international press, the producers will have the opportunity to interface with wine lovers, offering their wines for tasting as part of a walkaroundtasting . There are already more than forty companies that have joined: an important and qualified participation, destined to grow further in the coming weeks.

The main protagonists of the two days will be the great Irpine productions, such as Fiano di Avellino DOCG, Greco di Tufo DOCG, Falanghina Irpinia DOC and Taurasi DOCG.

The Technical Commission chaired by Professor Luigi Moio, and composed of a selection of winemakers operating in the Irpinia, has already started working on the analytical data of the vintages in question.

At the second edition of “Ciak Irpinia”, the Consorzio di Tutela arrives with the prestigious ministerial recognition that includes, among the obligations, the Vigilance on the territory to protect the typical Irpine names. Through sample checks along the sales chain of Irpinia wines will be verified, thanks to the work of a pool of vigilant agents, compliance with the disciplinary guidelines from a strictly regulatory point of view.

Protection and supervision are the cornerstones of ministerial recognition“, states President Di Marzo. “It is a task of great responsibility that should not be seen as a limit and a constraint for those who work in the area, but as an opportunity to exalt the quality of our productions. Our activity is in fact destined to promote and enhance the territory and its wines in the best possible way. Irpinia – concludes Di Marzo – is endowed with an extraordinary patrimony that, in close collaboration with producers, we have a duty to protect and protect”.
