On April 11th at 7:45 pm, at the Hotel Malaga, the Onav Section of Avellino celebrates the wine and launches the format “Journey through the hills of Friuli with Pierpaolo Sirch”
Unmissable date, next Wednesday in Atripalda, to discover the peculiarities of a region that places itself as a leader on the national territory in terms of style and trade, but above all viticulture: Friuli.
It is an interesting focus consisting of the tasting of five wines from Friuli and led by Pierpaolo Sirch.
The event is dedicated to viticulture and winemaking in Friuli and will thrill the curious followers of the Onav but also the winelovers who want to share with the association from Avellino, a moment of study and training intended for a territory far from Irpinia, not only from a geographical point of view, but intimately close in terms of identity and strength in territorial expressiveness.
Pierpaolo Sirch is a well-known face of a renowned Irpinia company, i Feudi di San Gregorio, as well as a renowned agronomist and producer in Friuli.
He himself puts the accent on this and says: “If the comparison is made between Campania in general and Friuli makes sense to highlight some obvious differences. Just think of the climate, but if the comparison is between Friuli and Irpinia, these differences become more subtle: the two wine-growing areas are not so different “
“The common thread is man“, adds Sirch, “that is mountain farmers who speak the same language wherever they are“
The event is open to all and goes like this: The introductory focus, led by Pierpaolo Sirch, will focus on the pedological characteristics and main vines that surround the wine-growing area, followed by a technical tasting of 5 labels, a journey through the noble vineyards of Friuli. Tasting wines will be: Chardonnay DOC Collio: Venica & Venica, Sauvignon DOC Collio: Schiopetto, Pinot Grigio DOC Colli Orientali del Friuli: Terlato, Friulano DOC, Colli Orientali del Friuli: Livio Felluga, Ribolla Gialla DOC Colli Orientali del Friuli: Sirch.
After the tasting it will be possible, by reservation, to take part in the dinner organized by the Malaga. The menu includes: Fanciful Appetizer, Scialatielli with Seafood and Stracchino Tuna with Balsamic Vinegar and Dessert.
